Fethiye with one of greatest examples of Anatolian Folklore abound in regional music, dances and legendary folk literature has the typical folkloric characteristics peculiar to Teke Peninsula.
Lands and upland migrations have great impact on Fethiye folklore, which can be observed in its proverbs, idioms and songs. For example, grasshopper raids, gangs, tobacco lands, fountains and gardens are mentioned. Agriculture and livestock farming are at the forefront in the proverbs and riddles.

The Turks migrating from Central Asia to Anatolia adopted different dances differing from one region to another by centuries as they moved to different continents. The Folk Dance Club of IUE managed to embody the performances of these different dances. Different performances from the regions such as Aegean, Black Sea, Thrace, Central Anatolia, Southeastern Anatolia Regions. A different visual quality was achieved with the modern integration of the regions in the show of Sultans of the Economics (Halay)
